OUR MISSION
The Scrunchie Project is a passion fueled endeavor hoping to spread awareness of the importance of female empowerment. Blessed with the access to quality education and opportunities, our team wishes to provide the same to girls in our community and others who might not be as fortunate. Symbolizing strong bonds, scrunchies are a way for girls of all ages to tie their hair back and dive right into a future of endless possibilities, as we aim to connect, support, and empower.
OUR WORK
Currently, we strive to make sure that girls are well equipped to handle gender bias on a daily basis. As an organization we want to make sure that girls are able to identify gender bias and are aware of how to confront a situation dealing with gender bias. We connect women through our community slack network that has over 300 girls from various countries. We support women by raising money to go towards the education, among other causes. Finally, we empower women by hosting workshops, creating educational projects and posting regularly on our blog.
OUR VISION
We at TSP understand gender equality is a never-ending battle, therefore we not only strive for equality around the world in the present, but we empower young girls to create a future where they are able to advocate for their rights and become future leaders, ensuring the perpetutuation of our mission.
