Community Call #2: Bias Against Women in the Workplace

On September 27, 2020, TSP collaborated with LeadHERship to inform people about biases against women in the workplace. LeadHERship is led by Neha Saggi. Their mission is to empower girls through educational awareness, and introspection! We were so excited to collaborate with them in order to bring you this amazing event. Not only was it simply an informative event, but it also had many helpful tips on dealing with biases, and how to be a good leader and work with those who may have biases against you. The event also hosted a wonderful guest speaker, Ms. Anita Advaney, who mentors the Robotics Team and is in the STEM field at Chrysler. She gave us many inspiring stories based on her personal experience on how to combat bias in the STEM/engineering field, and helpful life advice in general! We were happy to have worked with LeadHERship for this, and hope to do so in the future! Many thanks to Ms. Anita as well, who is now on our Slack channel to mentor and give us advice.
